HUMAYUN TOMB

                      HUMAYUN TOMB

Hello Guys!!! I hope you'll are doing fine during this lockdown, As well are seeing there is a daily increase in the cases of coronavirus in the whole world. I hope all this will get better in comings days, So today i'll tell you about the Humayun Tomb.

The Mughal era is my most favorite part of Indian history. Humayun's Tomb, the tomb of the great Mughal Emperor Humayun, was built way back in 1572 by his widow Bega Begum, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1993. It's said to be the first garden tomb to be built in the Indian subcontinent and is the one of the first monuments to be made using the combination of red sandstone and white marble in India.

It's such an amazing thing that how a magnificent structure is nestled in the middle of the city and transports you back in time, all while offering the most peaceful surrounding. The Tomb was converted into a sizeable heritage, ecological and nursery zone over the span of a decade,

The Sunder Nursery was established in 20th century, It was used as place for propagating trees and other plants to be used in the new capital city, and also for testing species brought from other parts of india and from overseas, to pick those which successfully thrive in Delhi's harsh climate

The entry ticket of the tomb ost you 50 rupees per head, i will recommend you to visit the place because our generation is forgetting our history, there are so many people who born and brought up in delhi and never been to the monuments in Delhi.
